Desil K
Provides rigidity to plant tissues and cell walls.
Concentrated solution of Potassium and silicon applied to improve the structural stability of plant cells. It provides rigidity to plant tissues and cell walls, improving stability and strength, and enhancing their tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress. Its absorption, both foliar and root uptake, improves stomatal regulation in the plant, preventing water loss due to water stress. Recommended for horticultural crops and ornamental plants.

Benefits of DeSil K
- Provides rigidity and resistance to plant tissues. Silicon molecules form a polymer coating in the epidermis, protecting and mechanically reinforcing plant cells.
- Reduces lodging in cereals. The colloidal gel layers of silicon in the vessels and beneath the epidermis combat lodging by providing stem strength.
- Increases plant tolerance to salinity and counteracts the negative effects of water deficiency and high temperature. When silicon accumulates in the epidermal cells, it forms a thin layer that acts as a barrier against transpiration and water loss.
- Enhances soil fertility and physical characteristics. Silicon releases nutrients into the soil solution and makes them available to the plant. Adding siliceous compounds improves soil aggregation, water-holding capacity, and cation exchange capacity.
- Neutralizes heavy metal toxicity. The soluble form of silicon combines with heavy metals in the soil to form non-toxic silicate complexes, reducing their presence in the soil colloid fraction.
- Provides a fungistatic and insect-repellent effect. The thickened cuticle resulting from silicon accumulation prevents the penetration of certain fungal haustoria, avoiding invasion. Additionally, the leaf surface accumulates crystals that make it unappealing to pest insects.
