DeFos K
Boosts crop resistance to stress conditions.
It is a plant defense inducer based on potassium and phosphorus. It enhances the plant's resistance against Oomycete fungi, making crops more resilient to stressful situations. Applied foliarly before flowering, it improves photosynthetic activity and the success of fruit flowering. It also promotes fruit development and the accumulation of sugars in the fruits. Especially recommended for all types of fruit trees and fruiting vegetables.
Classification
Defense inducer based on phosphorus (in the form of phosphite ion).
Composition/Guaranteed pureness (%)
- Phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅) water-soluble………………………....30,0

Benefits of DeFos K
- Provides the plant with high firmness. The plant resists the attack of fungi, particularly Oomycetes.
- Acts directly against the fungus, preventing sporulation. Phosphite competes with phosphate in cellular metabolism, thereby slowing down or even blocking the energy transfer processes in the fungus, affecting its growth.
- Promotes the production and accumulation of phytoalexins and lignification of tissues. This provides greater resistance to fungal attacks. Phosphites cause changes in the cell wall of Oomycete fungi, leading to the disintegration of cell fragments that act as external elicitors, triggering the activation of the plant's defense mechanisms.
- Provides rapid absorption. It is a systemic product that exhibits favorable resistance to rain wash-off and forms protective bodies after treatment.
- Increases growth and crop quality.
